Small country house, in parkland. Late C18, early C19, and mid C20. Painted
brick, and tile. The old part of the front (west) is symmetrical, of 2 storeys,
5 windows. Victorian sashes. Arched doorway with thin architrave, leaded
radiating fanlight and six-panelled door. A Doric verandah (1938) of
6 columns stands on the front terrace (replacing a trellis predecessor). On
each side of the centre are wings, on the north side of 1 storey 4 windows, on
the south of 2 storeys (upper floor 1938) 3 window, of similar style, with
parapets. The rear elevation of 2 storeys, 3.3 windows has cambered openings
and casements, and there is a lead Sun Fire insurance sign (of 1840).
