SU 64 SW WIELD LOWER WIELD

2/2 Barn 50 metres east of
Lower Wield Farmhouse.

Barn, early and late C18. L-shaped timber frame, the east-west branch (early
C18) having 7 bays with aisles, and the north-south arm 7 bays with one aisle.
The older unit has a tall queen post truss and brick walls, the later has
straight struts and boarded walls. The west part of the early unit has a slate
roof, the east being tiled; the later unit has a corrugated-iron roof.
