GV II
House. c1600, with extensions of C17, C18 and C20. Timber frame, brick and
flint walls, and a thatched (some tiled) roof. A lobby-entrance house with
central shafted stack, and additions at each end, and wings at right-angles
of the C20; 1 storey and attic, 2-storeyed wings, irregular fenestration. Half
-hipped thatch roof with eyebrow dormers; gabled tiled roof to the south
wing. The frame is exposed mainly in the upper part (also in the C20 wings)
with brick infill and other walling, some sections of flint, also tile-
hanging to the north-wing 1st floor. Casements. 6-panelled (2-top-glazed)
door in a plain frame, with a late C19 tiled hood on brackets.
