Small country house, now nursing home. Yellow brick with moulded decorated
bricks, slate roof. 2 storey, 3 bay, double pile block, entrance on one
end, on other one bay, low pitched roof addition, and low 2 storey 3 bay
wing. Entrance end has in centre between piles, square plan porch on
plinth with octagonal turrets on corners and on each face moulded 4-centred
arch infilled with 1/2-glazed screen of central door and side light under
fanlight in arch. Over is moulded cornice and tall parapet. Near each end
2-light, with top-light over, window under painted chamfered lintel. Over
porch 12-pane sash under similar lintel. On both piles slightly raised
chimney and kneelered gable. One side of this main block has, to one bay,
flatter but similar porch with French window to front and thin tall lights
on side. Beside 2-light with top-light over, window under painted
chamfered lintel. On 1st floor 12-pane sashes under similar lintel, with
moulded string linking lintels. Crenellated parapet. End stacks to both
piles of 4 shafts in a row.
