2. Formerly Rural District Offices. Late C19. Central ashlar tower crenellated with a clock face. Below this is a seated statue of an angel holding a trumpet. Under this is a 3 light bay supported on console brackets and a round-headed doorcase. Flanking this tower are portions of 2 storeys pargetted and with imitation curved braces. Red brick spiral chimneys. Gables with very wide fretted bargeboards. 3 mullioned and transomed windows with leaded lights. The gables are decorated with plaster angels and animals. Shopfronts with green tiled surrounds. The side elevation has 2 curved pedimented dormers and pargetting of maidens, putti and flowers. The side elevation to the cinema has 4 round-headed traceried windows.
