Pair of cottages. Early C19, altered. Red brick in stretcher bond thatch roof. 1½ storeys, each cottage 2 bays. Each has central board door under hipped thatch hood on wood posts, flanked by windows with 3 segmental-headed lights, chamfered wood mullions and frame, and stucco hoodmoulds. Above, similar 2- light windows with heads in eyebrow dormers. Windows have diamond - leaded casements. Hipped roof: Central. diagonally- set ridge stack, and external stack at right end.
Single-storey addition to left side (Bridge Farmhouse).
Cottage. Late C15 and C17, altered C18 and C20. Cruck timber- framewith painted brick infill, thatch roof. 1½ story, 3 bay and smoke bay, added hip bay. Front has plank door under swept-down hood at LH of 2nd bay from LH. 3-light casements of C19 or C20 in each bay. Smoke bay now in centre with hip bay at RH. Above LH bays 2-light eyebrow dormers. Roof half-hipped to LH and hipped to RH. Stack above bay and at RH end of ridge.
SU 10 NW ELLINGHAM, HARBRIDGE & IBSLEY A338 Ibsley 4/4 Nos 39 (Weir Cottage) and 38 30.9.64 (formerly listed as Bridge GV Farm and The Old Post Office) II Pair of cottages. Early C19. Brick, thatch roof. Semi-detached of 1½ storey, 2 bay. That to RH (No 38) has central plank door under thatch hood on posts. Each side 3-light round-headed mullion window under stucco hood mould. Above similar 2-light windows with heads in eyebrow dormers. Other cottage has similar windows except a 2-light window has replaced doors. Leaded lights. Roof hipped with central stack and stack at RH end.
