SU 62 NW BRAMDEAN

6/17 Joan's Acre

Cottage. C16, remodelled c1948. Timber-frame with brick infill, and brick
extensions, plain tile roof. 2 storey, 2 bay timber-frame with central smoke
bay. Added projecting wing at each end with long wing behind right bay. Timber-
frame remains on 1st floor. C20 Tudor style door in centre of right bay of frame
with late C20 3 and 4-light casements and on 1st floor small eyebrow over top of
2 casements. Bays at either end are half-hipped gables with window on each floor.
Roof half-hipped with large multiflued stack at centre in smoke bay and stacks in
added bays behind ridge.
