GV II House))
House. C17, early C19, C20. Of old origin as a timber-framed structure, now
much altered and extended with a front (east) of the 2nd period. Brick, with
slate and tile roofing. 2 storeys, 2 windows. There are 2 upper sashes in
reveals, and later casements to the ground-floor, the south side being a
modern angular bay. Doorcase with moulded canopy on brackets, and a door of
2 boarded panels. Slate roof at the front, hipped at the north side. The rear
exposes the many changes of the C18, C20 periods, with mainly tiled roofing,
some tile-hanging, a massive shafted stack, and windows of several periods
(sashes and casements).
