Built soon after 1660. 2 groups of gabled 5-storey houses opposite each
other on narrow lane. Each group has 8 gables and is two houses. Red
brick walls. old tile roofs. Fine lead rain water heads. Good brick
stacks. Gables have been altered and straight barge boards added cutting
into moulded cornice. North group comparatively unspoilt. South group
altered. Irregular windows some casements with original mullioned and
transomed frames. Others are sashes with glazing bars.
