8/2 Chidden Farmhouse
II
House. C17 timber frame with C17 and C18 cladding. Walls of brickwork in English
bond, cambered openings, deep moulded 1st floor band at the east side, frame
exposed in the east gable, tile-hung west gable. Half-hipped roof, with higher
ridge at the east side, catslide at rear. A building of two phases; south-east
front elevation of two storeys 3.2 windows. Casements. Mid C19 gabled porch with
trellis sides above brick base walls, and 6-panelled door within.
