WICKHAM THE SQUARE, NORTH WEST SIDE SU 5711 10/9 The King's Head Hotel 7.2.52 GV II

Public house. Late C18 and early C19, with some late C19 features. Walls of painted brickwork in Flemish bond, plinth, thin 1st floor band linking triple keys to oval arches, recessed panels below impost bands on each side of the carriage arch at the north side. Tile roof, wood dentilled eaves cornice. South-east front symmetrical of two storeys three windows, with north side projected part of two storeys one window. Upper sashes, triple above the carriage entrance, ground-floor casements of "local brewery" style. Doric porch with open pediment, panelled soffit, dentilled cornice, triglyphs, two pilasters, and two mid C19 cast iron columns of thinner proportion, with heavy caps.
