Manor House. Probably C17 and C18, extensively remodelled in
mid C19. Rendered brick, plain and fishscale tile roofs. Four
brick ridge stacks with paired and tripleted shafts. Decorative
bargeboards. Two storeys. L-plan. East elevation of four
bays. Off-centre flat roofed porch has a doorway with swept
hood, flanked by single light windows with returned plain
hoodmoulds. Panelled door with rectangular overlight. to the
left a wooden cross window with similar hoodmould. Two similar
windows to the right and four similar but smaller windows above.
Twin gabled north elevation has a similar cross window and
another made into French doors. Two smaller cross windows above
and two 2-light casements above again. Rear wing possibly C18
has irregular fenestration. The interior of this range has one
stop chamfered beam. Otherwise the interior features, including
the staircase, are C19. Good Edwardian chimneypiece.
