WEYMOUTH

SY6677NW PORTLAND ROAD, Wyke Regis 873-1/29/640 (West side) Wilkens monument approx 8m north of the north door of Church of All Saints

Small headstone. Portland stone. To Elizabeth, daughter of Joseph and Edeth (sic) Wilkens. d.1702. The thick stone has a rounded top, and a sunk panel with bold lettering in capitals. It lies very close to the E side of the pathway, and is falling backwards towards the path. It is one of the earlier monuments in the churchyard, with the inscription in remarkably good condition.
