2 cottages, originally 1 house. Probably circa early 17 or earlier, divided into 2
cottages probably in C19. Rendered rubble walls. Gable ended slate roof. 2
rendered rubble stacks, one at left gable end and lateral stack at front.
Probably originally other either or 3 room and through passage plan. Hall heated by
front lateral stack and lower room to left by gable end stack. C19 outshut at left
end.
2 storeys. Asymmetrical 4-window front, 2 windows to ground floor. 2 windows front
to each house. Circa early C20 casements to no. 3 to the left with C20 part glazed
door to right which immediately adjoins identical door to White Cottage, both are
under one slate porch hood. White Cottage has single light early C20 casement to
right of centre on first floor and beyond it, recessed in the wall, is a C20 4-light
reproduction wood mullion window, possibly replacing a similar earlier one. Below
it is a 3-light early C20 casement with glazing bars. Interior inaccessible at time
of survey, is likely to contain original features such as beams and fireplaces and
the original roof structure may survive.
