Cottage. Probably C18. Plastered cob on stone rubble footings; stone rubble or
brick stacks topped with C19 brick; thatch roof.
3-room plan cottage facing north-north-west, say north, onto Fore Street. The right
room has a rear lateral stack and the left room has a projecting gable-end stack. 2
storeys.
Irregular 3-window front of mostly late C19 and C20 casements with glazing bars, but
including a C20 oculus ground floor right end and a shop-like fixed pane window to
left of the roughly central doorway. C20 part-glazed door. Roof is gable-ended.
Interior not available for inspection at the time of survey.
Thatched Cottage is one of a number of attractive listed buildings along Otterton
Fore Street.
