- 5 metres east of the chancel of
the Church of St Mary
GV II
Chest tomb. C18 - early C19. Hamstone. The chest tomb is rectangular in plan and
has a soffit-moulded lid with a low-pitched ridge. Any plinth is now buried long
side are flanked by fluted pilasters. The panel on the south side is inscribed with
Roman serif upper and lower case lettering including some italics but is so lightly
incised as to be illegible in all but perfect lighting conditions.
