House. Probably late C16 to early Cl7, enlarged and restored in early C20.
Sandstone rubble plinth, timber-frame with plaster and brick infill, tiled roofs
and brick stacks. Main east/west range has cross-wing at each end preserving
2 gable fronts to north, large early C20 brick 2-storey addition to south-east.
Two storeys with cellars and attics. North elevation has 4 windows, arranged
1:2:1, late C20 casements of 2 and 3 lights, 4-panelled door to left of centre
under C20 gabled porch. Frame is 4 panels high from cill to wall-plate. (RCHM
Vol II, p 183-4).
