Moorcourt Farmhouse

GV II

Kitchen and laundry, now store. Probably late C18. Sandstone rubble gable
with brick dressings, brick side walls, tiled roof and corner stack. Three
structural bays aligned east/west. Two levels. South elevation: 3-light
iron casement to right of central doorway overtopped by open-fronted late C19
lean-to and stack to left; projecting brick eaves cornice, gable ends have
segmentally-headed loft openings with brick dressings. Interior: two trusses
dividing upper level have aisle posts pegged to collars and tied back to wall-
plate by spurs. Forms an interesting visual and social-historical complement
to Great Moorcourt Farmhous (qv). Included for group value.
