GV II

Barn. Probably C18 and early C19. Coursed sandstone rubble plinth and
south-east gable, timber-framed with weatherboards and corrugated iron
roof. Probably five bays aligned north-west/south-east linking with
adjoining barn and stable range (qv) to south-west. East elevation:
weatherboarded full-height ledged doors to central bay and exposed woven
infill in the top row of panels. West elevation: partly weatherboarded
above high plinth on falling ground with some exposed woven ventilation
panels to the left, a ledged door in the plinth to the right and a widened
cart entrance roughly to centre. Interior: raking struts from ties to
principals; some trusses replaced. Included for group value with adjoining
barn and stables which together form an interesting farm complex.
