Barn. Early C18. Sandstone rubble, corrugated metal roof, rectangular plan
aligned north-east/south-west; five bays, central threshing floor formerly
with short wooden slatted vents below lintel, two rows of loop vents,
symmetrical arrangement of five tiers to gable end. Collar-and-tie-beam
trusses with inclined struts, three pairs of purlins. Part of a farm-
yard group with the large threshing barn (qv) further to north-east of
Tregate Castle Farmhouse (qv).
