SO 45 SE DINMORE CP -

1/5 Barn about 60 yards north of
Dinmore Manor House

GV II

Barn. Probably late. C17 with late C18 or early C19 additions. Timber-
framed central part with brick infill on high rubble plinth, extended at
each end to form rubble gables, further rubble catslide extensions at
each end of south side, slate and corrugated iron roof. Nine bays,
aligned south-west/north-east. Symmetrical full-height opposed entrances
into third bays from each end. Framing is three panels high from plinth
to wall-pate; brick infill panels each with central cruciform ventilators.
End gables have ventilator slits. West gable has two 2-light early C20
metal casements above two ledged cart doors; east gable with C20 garage
entrance. Interior: (only a portion of central part visible at time of
resurvey September 1984): trusses adjacent to full-height entrances have
collars supported by queen struts.
