Field's Place Cottage

House. Probably C18 with early C19 remodelling and extension. Timber-
frame with brick infill, painted and rendered brick, Welsh slate roofs hipped
to east and north with brick stacks. Rectangular plan aligned east/west with
timber-framed wing projecting northwards from east of centre. Two storeys.
South elevation has 1:2:4:2 windows, all sashes except beyond ramped projecting
wall, the right side which has two segmentally-headed 3-light casements to
ground floor and two 2-light early C19 casements to first floor, with under-
built exposed timber-framing, entry to right under gabled porch; second entry
to Left of centre beneath five-bay hipped loggia. North elevation has timber-
framed half-hipped projecting wing with five panels in thin scantling between
cill and wall-plate; two-storey apsidal bay windows to right of centre with
three sashes to each storey.
