House. Early C17 with early C19 and late C20 extensions. Timber-frame with
brick infill, extended in brick, machine-tile roof. Two framed bays aligned
north/south with C20 extension to north and C19 wing to east; lateral stack
on east wall of frame portion. Garden (west) front: two storeys with attic
lit by two C20 gabled dormers; five windows: mixture of 2- and 3-light case-
ments; ground floor: French casements to right, to left C20 gabled porch with
half-glazed door; C20 extension to left. Framing: south gable jettied at
ground floor and tie-beam with moulded bressummer above ground floor: wall
three square panels high with straight angle braces over close-studding,
roof trusses have clasped purlins with four struts to collar and V-struts
in apex. Interior: doorhead of flattened ogee profile in attic; numerous
exposed beams including chamfered and stopped ceiling beams.
