House, formerly public house, latterly with shop to right end, now
house again. Late 17th or early 18th century. Red brick in header
bond with plain tile roof. Lobby entry plan. 2 storeys and garret
on stone plinth. Plat band in English bond interrupted over door to
No. 2. Half-hipped roof. Red brick ridge stack off-centre to left.
Irregular fenestration of four 2-light casements, some original.
Ground floor windows with segmental heads. Boarded doors with
segmental heads, that to No. 2 up one step beneath stack, that to
No. 1 at right end up 2 steps. Single-storey 19th century galletted
stone addition to right with hipped plain tile roof and one 2-light
casement; was formerly shop with door up steps in right gable end.
Interior: partly inspected. Exposed beams. Partly framed rear
ground-floor wall. Inglenook.
