2. C15-C16, restored 1856-7 by J Clarke. Flint, stone quoins and dressings, old tile roof, embattled. 3-stage W tower with square-headed door and 4-light window, angle buttresses and polygonal stair turret. Restored, 2-light aisle windows. Circa 1650 S porch with classical, arched opening. Octagonal turret on NE. 1522 NE chancel chapel: ashlar. Inscribed flat parapet, 4- centre and square-headed windows, good detailing. Nave and aisles without chancel arch. 6 bays, clustered shafts. Crown post nave roof, panelled over choir. Late C15 and early C16 tomb chests N and S of choir and early C17 wall monument on E wall of S aisle. C12 font, octagonal on round columns, shallow blank arcading. Modern extension on S. (Pevsner (1977) ).
