Mid C18 front probably to earlier timber frame building.
Weatherboarded Ground Floor, roughcast upper floor. Modern red
tile roofs. 2 storeys. Continuous wooden eaves cornice with
dentil moulding. No 226 has good doorcase: fluted ionic
pilasters, entablature with modillioned cornice and pediment,
flush panel door. Ground and 1st floor casement windows with
glazing bars. No 228 has modern ground floor shop.
