Red brick, some grey headers, tiled roof with brick cornice. Plinth, 1 storey
and attics. 4 double light casement windows, 1 light diamond lattice, 1 with glazing
bars under cambered arched. 4 gabled dormers. Rebuilt, 1809 perhaps on the site
and incorporating structure of the almshouse known as "All Christian Souls' House",
founded 1501 by Stephen Hellard, rector of Stevenage. VCH III p 147.
