House. C18, early C19 W front and rear extensions. Red brick,
stuccoed. Slate roofs. A large Neo-Classical town house set
back from street facing W. 2 storeys and basement with
symmetrical 5 windows long W front and irregular tall pavilions
at rear. Central entrance and gable chimneys plan. Formal W
front has giant order corner pilasters with moulded cap and
necking, full entablature with blocking course, floor band and
plinth projecting, recessed sash windows with 6/6 panes and
moulded surround to window over porch only. Heavy Ionic porch
with unfluted columns, full entablature and blocking course. 5
steps with moulded nosings up to 4 panel door with flush beaded
lower panels and rectangular fanlight. Similar entablature and
blocking course to screen-wall on left with 2 blank recesses.
Echinus moulding to chimney caps. Single-storey pilastered side
entrance set back on right. Contemporary iron front gates with
overthrow.
