House, sometime partly a shop. Late medieval hall-house, refronted in C18, early C19 shopfront. Timber frame plastered and lined as ashlar above a painted brick plinth. Steep old red tile roof, hipped with gablet at left, half-hipped at right. Two storeys, three windows long east front with parapet concealing roof. The upper floor has flush box sash windows with moulded surrounds and 8/8 panes. Six-panelled door on left in doorcases with small
moulded hood. Larger similar sash window adjoining on right with 6/6 panes. The right hand two thirds are occupied by a long shop front with two divided windows with stall risers flanking the door under a box fascia. Central chimney nearer south end. One anda half storeys gabled rear wing with lean-to extensions on each side of it.
