House. Mid C17; altered and extended at each end in C19 and late C20.
Timber frame roughcast, brick extensions roughcast, and steeply pitched
roofs now slated. A 1½-storeys, 3-cells, internal-chimney, lobby-entry
plan house facing S, with 2-cells extension to E end at lower level, and
single-cell extension to W end with rectangular front bay window. S
front has 3 gabled dormers at the eaves and 4 windows to ground floor.
2-lights small-pane recessed casement windows. Projecting rectangular
enclosed porch to lobby entrance. Rear slope of roof raised as a dormer
in the bay on each side of the chimney. Interior has chamfered axial
beams with bar stops, old wallplates exposed, clasped-purlin on collar
roof and straight wind-braces from former gable-ends.
