BARKWAY CHURCH LANE TL 3835 (South side) Barkway 9/8 Manor Farm Cottage and attached barn to W of Manor Farm House

Barn, part converted to form a dwelling. C18, altered C20. Red brick, part weatherboarded. Tiled roof, half hipped to left. 5 bays. Plinth and plat band. Blocked ventilation slits. Central bay has large double doors, midstrey to rear with a weatherboarded gable. Right gable end is weatherboarded. 2 left bays form dwelling with inserted door and 3 light casements. Left end blocked openings. Interior: curved braces from posts to tie beams, angled struts to principals, lower butt purlins, collars clasp upper purlins. Included for group value.
