Row of five cottages at right angles to road. Mid to late C17. Timber
frame, roughcast, tiled roof, brick chimneys. 2 storeys. 2 windows and
door to each cottage. Most ground floor windows are 3 light timber
casements and most first floor windows are Yorkshire casements. Two
axial ridge stacks at gable ends with 2 more stacks regularly spaced
between, that to left of centre cross-axial. Single storey lean-to
extensions at both ends but no rear extensions. Decorative bargeboard to
right gable. Inglenook and chamfered floor joists in No. 1. First floor
possibly jettied originally and underbuilt later. A post from the
original front wall remains in No. 2 with a mortice for a wall plate.
