House. C16 or early C17. Timber frame, roughcast with steep pitched
thatch roof and decorative ridge. A 1 1/2-storeys house facing W set back
from road. A 3-cells plan with internal chimney a third from S end, and
external N gable chimney. W front has no windows to S bay on RH, but 2
eyebrow dormers to central and N bays. 3-lights casement to ground floor
in middle, and a half-glazed porch with small panes to N bay on LH. S
gable has a 3-lights casement window to ground floor with half-glazed
panelled door to LH. 2-lights casement to 1st floor above. Rear has 2
small ground floor windows. Interior has exposed timbers of a 3-bays,
frame with jowled posts, curved tension braces and Jacobean panelling to
staircase. Wide fireplace blocked.
