Barn. Early C18, incorporating many chamfered floor timbers probably from the Bury rebuilt in early C18. Timber frame dark weatherboarded with pitched slate roof. A tall 5-bays barn facing S with gabled porch projecting on S and rear outshut. Heavy jowled posts on S wall but unjowled posts (re-used floor beams) on N wall. Unjowled mid-bay posts and mid-height rail jointed in-line. Long curved braces to N wallplate which has simple edge-halved scarf joints. Long straight braces to cambered tie beams with trenches for passing braces above now missing. Inclined queen-struts to roof.
