House, now hotel. Early-mid C18 origins, with considerable C19 and later
extensions to rear. Brick, colour-washed, lead and slate roofs. 2 storeys,
2 bays, with lower 2-storey single-bay extension recessed to left. Plinth,
stuccoed quoins. Ground floor: 2 canted bays with sashes with glazing bars
under flat lead roofs. First floor: 2 sashes with sills and glazing bars
under wedge lintels to each bay. Low parapet with C19 urns at corners,
hipped roof, end and axial stacks. Bay to left has infilled Tuscan porch
with C20 double leaf glazed doors under a sash with glazing bars. Low
parapet with urn. Later extensions-to rear are not of special architectural
interest. Interior: principal rafter roofs with tusked and tenoned side
purlins.
