3 Cottages, originally one house. C16 with C17 alterations divided probably in C19.
Rendered cob walls. Gable ended thatched roof. 2 rendered stacks, one offset from
ridge at left gable end, one at right gable end.
Plan: now comprises a 1-room plan cottage to the left, the right-hand cottage has
1-room at the front and another in a rear wing. Originally may have been a 2 or 3-
room and through passage plan, possibly truncated at one end. Probably C17 or C18
wing behind right-hand end which was divided off to form Cob Cottage.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 3-window front, No. 21 to left, No. 23 to right.
C20 2-light casements on first floor in small openings. No. 21 has C19 2-light
small-paned casement to the left and a C20 part-glazed door to the right. No. 23
has a 3-light small-paned C20 casement to the right of a C20 part-glazed door. Wing
extends to its rear, part of which is Cob Cottage.
Interior: No. 21 shows evidence of an early truss with curved feet on the first
floor but no access to it in roof space.
