Barn. Probably C18. Plastered cob on stone rubble footings; corrugated iron roof
(formerly thatch).
Plan and exterior development: large threshing barn facing south-east and built down
the hillslope. There is a small basesment byre under the downhill right end. Large
central opposing double doorways to the threshing floor. The front doorway has a
solid plain frame and is flanked by short projecting midstrey walls. Small byre
doorway to right. Blocked slit windows in right end wall. Roof is hipped each end.
Interior is open to the high roof; 6 bays of tall and steeply pitched A-frame
trusses with pegged lap-jointed collars.
