Farmhouse. C17 or earlier. C19 alterations. Stone rubble, cross-wing
colourwashed. Slate roof with gable ends. rubble stack at left end with tapered
cap, tall lateral hall stack to rear with off-sets, enclosed in 2 storey outshut
with rear porch adjoining and rebuilt lateral stack to cross-wing. Hall range and
cross-wing plan (q.v. South Hole). 2 storeys. Hall range heightened in C19, of 4
windows. C19 2-light casements, the first and third from left end have gabled
dormers. 3-light casements, 6 panes each light to each side of C20 porch to
inserted door. cross-passage porch in the angle with scantle slate canopy and Cl7
doorway with ovolo-moulded surround and original plank door with cover strips.
Ledged plank door to rear cross-passage doorway also with ovolo-moulded surround.
Cross-wing gable end has 4 panes. Possibly set in older frame under timber lintel.
2-light timber casement with 6 panes each light below. Interior altered but roof
space not inspected.
