House and shop in street row, brought forward. Late C18 or early C19 over C20
display front. Smooth rendered, asbestos-cement slate roof, hipped end set in
front of slightly higher gable. The high middle storey, set forward, suggests
former assembly room or Inn; there is a small bay, set back right to
throughway. Two storeys, 2+1 windows; ground floor has full-width display
window over rubble stall-board riser, and at first floor are two 12-pane sashes
in architraves, with considerable plain wall above; small set-back section has
C20 casement, above throughway. Back wing is slate hung and has a good 6-panel
C18 door in a C19 porch. In the throughway is square panel timber framing, and
a C19 stable door. Deep box eaves, eaves stack to left.
