GV II

Terrace of 3 cottages. Circa mid to late C19. Stone rubble with rendered
window and doorway dressings. Welsh slate roof with gabled end and 3
gables to the front with ornate wavey bargeboards. Small rendered axial
and gable end stacks, the right hand stack projects slightly with set
offs; all have yellow clay pots.
Plan: Row of 3 one-room plain cottages with direct entry into the front
rooms. There may be small service rooms at the back. No 1 to the right
has a later 2-storey wing at the back and Nos 2 and 3 have later single
storey outshuts. Tudor gothic style.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-window range except that the
doorways are paired to the left of centre and single doorway to the right
of centre, all with 4-centred arches and C19 plank doors. The windows are
symmetrically arranged C19 2-light casements with 4-centred headed lights
and glazing bars, all with rendered hoodmoulds and surrounds to the ground
floor windows imitating rusticated quoins. 3 small gables at the front,
the centre gable larger and all with open-work bargeboards.
