House. Circa mid C17 with late C20 addition. Stone rubble walls incorporating
some cob. Thatch roof gabled to right end and hipped to new wing. Projecting
rubble stack at gable end. Brick lateral stack to wing.
Plan: original cottage probably 2-room plan with room to the right heated by
fireplace on end wall. In late C20 the size of the house was virtually doubled by
the addition of a wing at the front of its left-hand end.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Original part of house has asymmetrical 1-window front, 2
below, of C19 small-paned 2 and 3-light casements. C20 plank door to the left.
Large wing projects from left-hand end.
Interior: open fireplace in right-hand room has chamfered wooden lintel.
