ST 71 NW STALBRIDGE STALBRIDGE PARK

1/65 The Old Barn

II

Barn incorporating watermill, probably C18, main roof C20. Rubble stone walls
with half-hipped tiled roof. Opposing double doors in hipped porches. Wooden
loft floors internally. Mill housed in rear outshut. Cast iron wheel and
machinery are intact though inoperable. Wheel is housed directly under
machinery and may originally have been used for operating farm machinery as well
as grinding. Roof shows traces of thatch.
