Cottage. Early C19, extended in C20. Timber framed, plastered, roof thatched.
3 bays facing SW, with central stack. Small lean-to extension at right, forming
a catslide, C19. C20 wing to rear of left corner, connected to the original
cottage by a small flat-roofed link. One storey. 3 C20 casements. C20
half-glazed door. Roof hipped. In the tithe award of 1846 this property was
described as 'House, Smithy and Premises' (Essex Record Office, D/CT 277).
