BARLING MAGNA BARLING ROAD TQ 98 NW 12/20 Blue House and Blue House Cottage (formerly 19.12.73 listed as Blues House GV II Farmhouse) House, of 2 builds, now 2 dwellings. Left (west) C17/C18 timber framed and weatherboarded, red plain tiled gambrel roof, central red brick chimney stack. One storey and attics, 2 gabled dormers, 2 ground floor small paned 2-light casements. Central vertically boarded door, simple surround. C20 shutters to windows. Right (east) gault brick, hipped grey slate roofs, L plan. Rear and left chimney stacks. 2 storeys, front left small paned vertically sliding sashes 1, right return 2, rear right 1, and right return 1 gauged brick arches those to ground floor in recessed arches. Round headed doorway to right return in recessed arch, C20 door, rayed fanlight over.
