Outbuilding. C16. Red brick. Red plain tiled roof hipped to north and south,
with gablet to north. 2 storeys. Rectangular plan. The east wall has a small
rectangular plan extension to the north, possibly a former porch or stair
turret, either side of this feature are 2 original brick windows one of 2 the
other of 3 lights with moulded surrounds, mullions and square heads. There is a
vertically boarded door to south of these windows. The south wall has a loft
door and window with segmental head. West wall 2 vertically boarded doors and 2
windows. The building has been altered C19/C20 into stables and has a brick
floor and several stalls. Stop chamfered bridging joists to ceiling. Attached
to south west is a later single storey range now living accommodation. South
east is an attached wall, matching that extending from the walled garden, the
end pier surmounted by a stone ball finial on a square base. RCHM 4 (Little
Wakering).
