Pair of Bedford Estate cottages with datestone 1868, but stylistically later
appearance suggests turn-of-century modifications. Ground floor red brick,
first floor rendered with planted timbers; old clay tile roof. Large central
multi-shafted chimney stack, modern rear extension. One storey and attics.
Symmetrical front elevation with windows for both cottages paired centrally
and front doors outside them, with sloping porches supported on straight
brackets. Ground floor: each cottage has two 2-light casements with glazing
bars. First floor projects slightly over dentil course storey band. Attic
dormer with two 2-light casements contained within half-hipped projecting
roof. Roof-line to side elevations also projects, and the gable contains 5-
light window.
