WISHAW GROVE LANE SP19NE (South side) Grove End 2/118 Barn approx. 15m W of The Elms 02/05/86 (not included) (Formerly listed as Barn at The Elms) - II Threshing barn. Late C17. Timber-framed, partly on sandstone plinth, mostly brick infill panels but the upper walls are covered in weatherboarding, the outer walls of the south-west bay have been rebuilt in brick. 3-bay range aligned north-south enclosing the west side of a former farmyard. One storey; 2 tiers of rectangular panels to eaves level. Large central cart entrance. Brick bay to the left with right hand plank door, left hand brick extension with garage doors. The right hand gable has an exposed queen strut roof truss and there is further exposed framing to the rear with straight braces. Interior: roof trusses with raking struts extending from tie beam to principal rafters, carrying one pair of purlins, curved wind braces.
