14/921 Ice House. About 18 metres
WNW of No 21

Ice House circa 1800. Header-bond brick, with stone jambs to the entrance and stone
reinforcing beams in the entrance passage. Deep cylindrical chamber with brick
domed top is completely below ground. Loading chute at top of dome. The entrance
passage now blocked below ground level is to the west of chamber and access was via
a flight of brick steps. The iron hoist for lifting the ice is still in situ.
