Circa 1830s front to older house, close to site of Roman villa. Rendered
with plain ashlar dressings. Two storeys with moulded coping to parapet.
Double-saddle slate roof with coped verge and end chimneys. Three windows,
glazing bar sashes, 1st floor outer windows have wrought-iron balconies.
Central arched doorway with brackets to open pediment, wreathed and radiating
fanlight, 6 panel door.
Interior retains a number of circa 1830s features including grates and
a stair with ramped moulded and wide handrail (which could be C18).
