1. 5118 BITTON NEWPIT LANE Redfield Lodge Farmhouse, adjoining barn and Redfield Cottage ST 67 SE 4/17 II 2. Early C19 fronts to east. Rendered walling stone coped parapet, end pilasters, slurried slate roof, brick stacks. The house is 2 storeys, 3 windows, sashes with glazing bars in plain stone architraves (obscured date-panel above centre 1st floor window). Central chamfered doorway stone slab hood on brackets. Cottage to left with intervening barn section with later lean-to corrugated-iron roofed extension to left. The cottage is similar to the house but only one window, plain door to right with slab hood. The road elevation of the house has been altered by a massive 2 storey rubble crenellated bow, including a new porch. Barn has to west a wide cambered head opening with keystone and circular opening to left, set back between house and cottage. The road elevation of cottage has a central plain door, single-light window to left, 2-light flat mullion window to right.
